We own and operate an eight-bed group home in Celina, the Mud Pike Home.  This home is an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID).  We manage the Thomas Edison Group Home, also an eight-bed home located in Van Wert.  These home require 24 hour staffing 7 days a week.  We provide individualized training based on the needs and desires in the area including but not limited to daily living skills, academic functions, human sexuality, and life safety skills.  Any consumer who has a documented need for a success plan will receive positive supports and the most effective goal oriented plan available.

We strive to make inclusion a reality for the individuals we serve.  Our purpose is to maximize each individual's potential by providing intensive real life learning opportunities.  This is accomplished by having the same expectations for our consumers as we have for ourselves.  Consumer participate in normal everyday activities such as performing hygiene tasks, going to work, preparing meals, grocery shopping, visiting friends, performing household chores, maintaining finances or enjoying leisure time activities individually or  in small groups.

 

 

 

MRSI offers qualified, screened, and well-trained staff to provide skilled direct support services with 24hour / 7 day a week care.  MRSI is able to serve both male and female clients age 18 and over.  No matter what the age or the need, it is our commitment to provide the highest quality of services that will ensure a person's health, safety and well-being, with the greatest degree of independence and freedom of choice.  Our Mud Pike Home has received a perfect Medicaid surveys from the Ohio Department of Health and Human Services numinous times over the past several years.

 

Each home offers:

  • Full Residential Care
  • Trained Direct Support Professionals
  • Nursing Care – On call 24hours/7 days a week

  • Qualified Developmental Disability Professionals (MPGH) - On call 24hours/7 days a week

  • Formal skills, training, and active treatment on a daily basis
  • Transportation including accommodating physically handicapped individuals
  • Respite Care

Staff is trained to work with clients who have specific behavioral / mental health issues: autism, schizophrenia, anxiety, ADHD etc.  Staff provides care to consumers based on their individual needs from minimal staff assistance to total care.  Staff can also accompany consumers to their medical appointments and help them understand the outcome and treatments of the appointments.

All staff is certified in CPR & First Aid.  All staff receives extensive training on behavioral support and delegated nursing.  Staff receives additional training throughout the year to ensure staff has the most updated information.
